Moratorium Imposed on Little Holmby
Last week, the LA City Council passed an Interim Control Ordinance intended to control mansionization by limiting demolition, grading and new construction throughout LA while the city revisits its zoning and finalizes the Historic Preservation Overlay Zone status for 5 areas including Holmby -Westwood.
Little Holmby (Holmby Westwood) and 4 other pending HPOZs are among those with the most stringent limits including a moratorium on all tear downs and a ban on alteration and construction of more than 250sf. The ordinance can be renewed for up to 22 months.
